WELFARE ACTIVITIES OF THE BOARD
The welfare activities of the Board for the workers and worker's families who are subsidizing the labour welfare fund under the Maharashtra Welfare Fund Act 1953.
Kindergarten:
In the labour welfare board, the first child welfare school for child welfare was established in the year 1940 at Fine Arts Building, Dial Road. Shishu Mandir is one of the important activities of the Mandal. Everyday children are provided with healthy diet, free uniforms. During the month of September and December, the pediatric specialist conducts a valid examination of the child. Children’s educational trips are organized in the natural places.
Sewing / crafts class:
Sewing and handicrafts classes are conducted for the working family women in the center. Government sewing classes have also been started in some places. Entry into this category is paid by paying a nominal admission fee. The seminar is provided on the principle of grant on behalf of the Board of the women of the family to appear in the examination.
Fashion Designing / Aesthetics Training:
At present, the Board is organizing aesthetic and fashion designing (basic) training for women to start their own boutique in view of the need of the hour. Training camps are organized at all levels at the group level.
Library / Reading Room:
The library and reading rooms are operated in every center of the state as per the availability of the library and space available to the working families to make them interested in reading and also to know about the various events happening around the world and their daily activities.
Study room:
In today's stressful life, it is difficult for student to be peaceful environment for the students to study. Therefore, on behalf of the Board, study rooms are operational in the Kamgar Kalyan Bhawan and Lalit Kala Bhawan where students could get a peaceful environment to study.
Computer training:
The board started Computer training classes on the basis of availability of space at the Kamgar Kalyan Bhawan and Lalit Kala Bhawan and Workers Welfare Center for the workers and the working families at a nominal cost. This training class offers courses on computer programming, database management system, tele, DTP, internet, coral draw, Photoshop, MS-CIT and various other subjects.
Healthcare:
On behalf of the Board, a health center (gymnasium) has been started at the Kamgar Kalyan Bhavan / Lalit Kala Bhavan and some of the major workers welfare centers. Admission is paid by paying a nominal entry fee. Coaches are appointed on behalf of the Board in the gym.
Yoga classes:
Yoga is evolving as an important system of today's lifestyle. Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board conducts yoga classes with the help of experienced teachers and experienced organizations in the nearby area.
Karate class:
The karate training classes have been started by charging nominal admission fees on behalf of the board so that the art of self-defense can be provided to the workers.
Music class:
In order to further develop the latent artistic qualities of the musicians and their families, the Board has started the music classes with the aim of getting guidance in this area. Members of this classes are guided by expert trainers through Surpeti, Tabla-Dagga and similar instruments.
मंडळाचे कल्याणकारी उपक्रम
महाराष्ट्र कामगार कल्याण निधी अधिनियम १९५३ अंतर्गत कामगार कल्याण निधीची वर्गणी भरणाऱ्या कामगार व कामगार कुटुंबियांसाठी मंडळाचे कल्याणकारी उपक्रम
शिशुमंदिर:
कामगार कल्याण विभागात बाल कल्याणाची पहिली मुहुर्तमेढ शिशुसंस्कार शाळा सन १९४० मध्ये ललित कला भवन, डिलाईल रोड येथे रोवली गेली. शिशुमंदिर हा मंडळाचा एक महत्वाचा उपक्रम असून या उपक्रमांतर्गत शिशुमंदिर बालकांना मराठी बरोबर इंग्रजी विषयाचेही शिक्षण देण्यात येते. शिशुमंदिरातील मुलांना दररोज सकस आहार, मोफ़त गणवेश पुरविण्यात येतो. माहे सेप्टेंबर व डिसेंबर या महिन्यात बालरोग तज्ज्ञ डॉक्टरांकडून बालकांची वैद्यकिय तपासणी केली जाते. निसर्गरम्य ठिकाणी मुलांची शैक्षणिक सहल आयोजित करण्यात येते.
शिवणवर्ग / हस्तकला वर्ग:
केंद्र परिसरातील कामगार कुटुंबिय महिलांसाठी शिवण व हस्तव्यवसाय वर्ग चालविण्यात येतात.काही ठिकाणी शासनमान्य शिवण वर्गही सुरू करण्यात आलेले आहेत. नाममात्र प्रवेश शुल्कभरून या वर्गात प्रवेश दिला जातो. परीक्षेत प्रथम येणाऱ्या कामगार कुटुंबिय महिलेस मंडळाच्यावतीने अनुदान तत्वावर शिवणयंत्र देण्यात येते.
फॅशनडिझायनिंग / सौदर्य शास्त्र प्रशिक्षण:
सध्या काळाची गरज लक्षात घेऊन महिलांना स्वतःचा उघोग सुरू करता यावा यासाठी सौंदर्य शास्त्र व फॅशन डिझायनिग (बेसिक) प्रशिक्षणाचे आयोजन मंडळ सातत्याने करीत आहे. गट स्तरावर सर्व ठिकाणी प्रशिक्षण शिबिरे आयोजित करण्यात येतात.
वाचनालय / ग्रंथालय:
कामगार कुटुंबियांना वाचनाची आवड निर्माण व्हावी तसेच त्यांना आजूबाजूला घडणा-या विविधघटनांची व जगातील दैनंदिन घडामोडीची माहिती व्हावी, त्यांच्यामध्ये असलेली वाचनाची आवडव गोडी तसेच जिज्ञासा वाढीस लागावी या उद्देशाने राज्यातील प्रत्येक केंद्रात वाचनालय तसेचजागेच्या उपलब्धतेनुसार केंद्रांमध्ये ग्रंथालय व ज्ञानसंवर्धन विभाग चालविण्यात येतो.
अभ्यासिका:
आजच्या धकाधकीच्या जीवनात विद्यार्थांना अभ्यासासाठी निवांतपणा मिळणे जीकिरीचे झाले आहे. म्हणून मंडळाच्या वतीने कामगारांच्या पाल्यांना गर्दी-गोंगाटापासून शांत ठिकाणी अभ्यासावर लक्ष केंद्रित करता यावे याकरिता कामगार कल्याण भवन व ललित कला भवन येथे अभ्यासिका सुरू केलेल्या आहेत. अभ्यासिकेतील सभासदांकरिता स्पर्धा परीक्षांची पुस्तकेही उपलब्ध करून देण्यात येतात.
संगणकप्रशिक्षण:
मंडळाच्या वतीने कामगार कल्याण भवन, ललित कला भवन व कामगार कल्याण केंद्रातून जागेच्या उपलब्धतेनुसार) कामगार व कामगार कुटुंबियांसाठी माफक शुल्कात संगणक प्रशिक्षण वर्ग सुरू करण्यात आले आहेत. या प्रशिक्षण वर्गातून रोजगाराच्या संधी उपलब्ध करून देणारे संगणकीय प्रोग्रामिंग, डाटाबेस मॅनेजमेंट सिस्टिम, टॅली, डीटीपी, इंटरनेट, कोरल ड्रॉ, फोटोशॉप, एमएस-सीआयटी(MS-CIT) आदी विविध बिषयांचा अभ्यासक्रम शिकविण्यात येतो.
आरोग्यधाम:
मंडळाच्या वतीने कामगार कल्याण भवन / ललित कला भवन या ठिकाणी व काही प्रमुख कामगार कल्याण केंद्रात आरोग्यधाम (व्यायामशाळा) सुरू केलेल्या अहेत. यात नाममात्र प्रवेश शुल्क भरून प्रवेश दिला जातो. व्यायामशाळेमध्ये मंडळाच्या वतीने प्रशिक्षक नियुक्त केले जातात.
योगावर्ग:
योगा ही आजच्या जीवनाची एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रणाली म्हणून विकसित होत आहे. महाराष्ट्र कामगार कल्याण मंडळ या क्षेत्रातील तज्ज्ञ व अनुभवी संस्थांच्या सहकार्याने योगा वर्गाचे आयोजन राज्यातील महत्वाच्या कामगार कल्याण केंद्रांतून करत आहे.
कराटेवर्ग:
कामगारांच्या पाल्यांना स्वसंरक्षणाचे धडे गिरविता यावे याकरिता मंडळाच्या वतीने नाममात्र प्रवेश शुल्क आकारून कराटे प्रशिक्षण वर्ग सुरू केले आहे.
संगीतवर्ग:
कामगार आणि त्यांच्या कुटुंबियांमध्ये उपजतच असलेले संगीतबिषयक सुप्त कलागुण अधिक विकसित व्हावेत आणि या क्षेत्रातील मार्गदर्शन मिळावे या हेतूने मंडळाच्या वतीने संगीत वर्ग सुरू करण्यात आलेले आहेत. या वर्गातील सभासदांना सूरपेटी, तबला-डग्गा व तत्सम वाद्यांच्या माध्यमातून तज्ज्ञ प्रशिक्षकांकडून मार्गदर्शन केले जाते.
